Acute influenza can increase the risk of Parkinson’s developing 10-15 years later

Carolyn Merchant Blog 0 0

The study reports Parkinson’s Disease occurring 10-15 years after an influenza infection. The study supports getting flu shots annually, which may also be cross-protective to some extent against Covid-19. The second important finding confirms chronic disease can develop decades after acute infection. Finally, the study raised the issue of the overall infectious burden caused by multiple chronic infections. We must start identifying the most dangerous acute infections early, including influenza, intracellular pathogens, and parasites; and offer treatments that are available…..

Azithromax and gamma globulin can reduce mortality from a cytokine storm

Carolyn Merchant Blog 0 0

A 2016 NIH article reviewed causes and treatments for cytokine storms, caused by H1N1 and H5N1 influenza. H1N1 and H5N1 caused severe disease and significant mortality, from cytokine storms. The article reported macrolides acted against pathogens, had anti-inflammatory effects, and improved mortality. Gamma globulin is used to boost immunity, in a variety of chronic diseases. Macrolides and immunoglobulins were found helpful in severely ill H1N1 and H5N1 patients, and reduced mortality.   For many years, Dr. Merchant used azithromax and…..

Acute infections can become chronic disease years or decades later

Carolyn Merchant Blog 0 0

Medicine fails to consider infectious pathogens acquired years or decades earlier, as a cause of chronic disease. The Spanish Flu epidemic is thought to have started, when soldiers returned from WWI. People who survived the Spanish Flu epidemic of 1918-1920, had a reduced life-expectancy of up to 10 years. A chlamydia psittacosis pneumonia outbreak occurred, in Pennsylvania, in 1917; and a psittacosis pneumonia epidemic was confirmed, in Baltimore, in 1929-1930—both originating from contact with exotic birds, and then transmitted person-to-person……

Infectious pathogens

A caretaker, spouse or family member can acquire the same immortal pathogens and develop the same or different manifestations of chronic disease. Pets can also acquire and transmit the same immortal pathogens as family members. Maria Menounos revealed she had a golf ball size meningioma (cancer) in her brain, after she had cared for her mother with stage four brain cancer; and now her seventeen-year old dog has the same type of brain cancer.

Influenza h1n1

Carolyn Merchant Blog 0 0

Getting a flu shot is particularly important this year. Bre Payton, a 26 year old Fox News commentator, died recently after a short illness with the H1N1 flu. One of the children who died at the border had H1N1 flu. The other child who died had the flu but the strain has not been disclosed. The H1N1 is an avian/swine flu strain that can kill at any age, including young and middle aged adults. Those with co-infections and who are…..
