Many believe intestinal bacteria, alone or in combination, cause IBS, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and colon cancer. The ulcers in Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are similar to stomach ulcers, but for the ulcers are in the small bowel or colon. H-pylori is known to cause stomach ulcers, stomach cancer, and MALT lymphoma; and has been found in lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, and melanoma. Chlamydia pathogens and parasites have also been found in liver, gallbladder, pancreatic, and other types of cancer. H-pylori attacks epithelium, invades deeper layers of tissue, and creates a portal for pathogens to enter and create a focus for chronic disease and cancer.
In medical practice, few doctors attempt to diagnose and treat intestinal pathogens, parasites, or immortal pathogens, in Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, IBS, colon cancer, or other types of cancer known to be caused or associated with these pathogens and/or parasites. Immortal pathogens, alone or in combination with other pathogens and parasites, including adherent pathogens (such as streptococcus and e-coli), can cause Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, colon cancer; and many other chronic diseases and other types of cancer, over time. An investigation into immortal pathogens and parasites, and identifying co-infections, in chronic disease and cancer, would lead to new understanding, new treatment options, and better health for patients.
