The cause of chronic disease can be discovered through cross-specialty collaboration, by recognizing patterns in chronic disease; formulating reasonable hypotheses as to the causes of chronic diseases, based on existing scientific knowledge across specialties; and using modern technology to investigate immortal pathogens. The research and medical bias against infectious causes of chronic disease, particularly immortal bacteria and parasites, have impaired discovery of the causes of chronic disease for too long.
Veterinarians studied chlamydia and the relationship of chlamydia to chronic disease, since at least 1930; and have identified many different types of chlamydia pathogens in different types of animals. Veterinarians recognize chlamydia pathogens cause chronic disease in animals; and can be transmitted animal-to-person, animal-to-animal, person-to-animal, and person-to-person. Animals and humans get the same chronic diseases; thus, veterinary knowledge must be incorporated into the cross-specialty collaboration.
We hope our book, The Origin of Disease: The War Within, propels medical research and medical practice to make new discoveries in the causes of chronic disease, and helps patients and doctors find new understanding in how to avoid and treat chronic disease.
