Covid-19 presents the greatest risk to patients with chronic diseases and the elderly. Chronic chlamydia pneumonia is common in patients with heart and lung disease, and in the elderly, as are other forms of chronic infection. Viruses can hide and live inside other pathogens; and chlamydia species, other bacterial pathogens, and parasites can harbor viruses and can cause a variety of chronic diseases.
Chronic chlamydia pneumonia is known to attack endothelium in the heart and lung. Covid-19 patients require hospitalization and/or ventilation when the virus has attacked the heart and lungs. Zithromax can treat chlamydia pneumonia and reduce inflammation, which may explain why Zithromax has been helpful in Covid-19 patients. Zithromax treats the underlying infection, reduces inflammation, and destroys the viruses’ hiding place, so other treatment and the immune system can be more effective.
More treatments may already exist to help covid-19 patients, based on diagnosis of underlying infectious pathogens, and use of targeted treatment against the virus and those pathogens. Gamma globulin injections to boost the immune system in newly diagnosed patients along with targeted treatment may help avoid severe disease, hospitalizations, and mortality.
