Scientists reported cancer consumes sugar at a faster rate (The Warburg effect), and proposed that viruses used for targeted treatment against cancerous tumors work better if the level of sugar in the cancerous tumor is lower. Scientists are exploring treatment of cancer by starving the cancer of sugar; however, stated dietary sugar is not the problem.
Finding ways to deprive cancer of sugar may be effective in improving the treatment of cancer, but scientific bias and specialization caused researchers to overlook important and relevant knowledge about chlamydia bacteria. Chlamydia lives inside the cell, and survives by consuming the energy made by the cell. When the energy in the cell is depleted, chlamydia consumes sugar, causing fermentation and fungus. The cells surrounding cancerous tumors have the exact molecular properties as chlamydia, and chronic chlamydia infection in the cells causes loss of apoptosis and angiogenesis (formation of new blood vessels), consistent with cancer.
