A good diet and clean water AND avoiding unhealthy food and contaminated water are essential to good health

Carolyn Merchant Blog 0 0

Prior research showed urban areas had a higher proportion of processed food waste, and crows in urban areas had higher cholesterol levels than rural crows. In rural New York, in a “cheeseburger experiment”, cheeseburgers were left near nests of crows. The burger-fed crows had higher cholesterol levels than nearby rural crows, and cholesterol levels similar to crows living in cities.  Foxes, sparrows and sea turtles living near densely populated areas were also found to have higher levels of cholesterol, than non-urban animals.

A good diet and clean drinking water are essential to good health. A good diet includes what we eat and drink, AND what we avoid eating and drinking.
