Chronic intracellular infection in patients with acute or long-haul covid19

Carolyn Merchant Blog 0 0

We are not alone in our concern for the development of future chronic diseases, in covid-19 patients. Our perspective is the person’s underlying chronic intracellular infections, and the length of time the infection has persisted and spread in the body, can impact the effect of acute covid19. The vaccine hesitant may fear getting covid19 vaccinations, but their fear of the vaccine should pale in comparison to the fear of developing a chronic disease and/or mental illness; and/or a shortened life…..

Did psittacosis induce covid19 variants?

Carolyn Merchant Blog 0 0

We have been concerned about the impact of covid19 in patients with underlying chronic infections, particularly chlamydia psittacosis (also other forms of chlamydia, chronic streptococcus, and toxoplasmosis). Common sense suggests the rate of psittacosis in the population is much higher than reported, considering the prevalence of psittacosis in birds worldwide; the correlation between bird populations, bird migratory routes, and chronic diseases; the number and rate of chronic diseases known to be caused by psittacosis; and the lack of awareness.  …..

Covid vaccination important for current and future health

Carolyn Merchant Blog 0 0

Getting vaccinated against covid19 protects the person, family, community and society. However, vaccine hesitancy has caused low vaccination rates in some parts of the country and a pandemic among the unvaccinated. Publicly available information on the safety and protection provided by the vaccination has not convinced many who remain vaccine hesitant.   Another issue to consider is—we do not know the long term impact of covid, in 20-30 years. Will the acute illness resolve, without further impact? Or, will it…..

Chronic infection plus SSRI drugs has contributed to an explosion in incarceration

Carolyn Merchant Blog 0 0

Many types of infection, including but not limited to chlamydia, toxoplasmosis, and covid19, have been linked to the development mental health disorders. Young males exhibiting behavioral problems, depression, and mental health disorders are frequently prescribed SSRI drugs, which increase the level of testosterone; and create a vicious cycle of drug initiation, dependence, drug withdrawal, and drug induced behavioral problems. The period of time when starting and stopping SSRI drugs is the most dangerous time for inducing anger, and violence toward…..

Toxoplasmosis, mental health, SSRI drugs, and violence

Carolyn Merchant Blog 0 0

SSRI drugs (for depression) are on the list of the violent 5, and on the list of the 10 most violence inducing drugs prescribed today. The FDA has documented more than 15,000 acts of violence caused by SSRI drugs; and considering the FDA gets reports of fewer than 1 in 100 adverse events, SSRI drugs could represent more than 150,000 acts of violence. An SSRI patient is 800 times more likely to be involved in a violent act toward self…..

Chantix sales halted due to carcinogens in pills, and Chantix is also the no. 1 violence inducing drug

Carolyn Merchant Blog 0 0

Pfizer halted the sale of Chantix, a smoking cessation drug approved by the FDA in 2006, due high levels of carcinogens found in some of the pills. Chantix is also number one on the list of the “violent five”—the top five most violence inducing drugs. Chantix was reported in 2015 to be 18 times more likely to result in violence toward self and others. Violence toward self and others is a significantly under-reported adverse drug event. https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/953780?src= https://www.researchgate.net/publication/49703495_Prescription_Drugs_Associated_with_Reports_of_Violence_Towards_Others https://www.cchrflorida.org/top-five-psychiatric-drugs-linked-to-violence

Chronic chlamydia pneumonia causes Alzheimer’s and amyloid beta

Carolyn Merchant Blog 0 0

On June 7, 2021, the FDA gave fast-track conditional approval to Aduhelm (aducanumab), a new IV drug for Alzheimer’s given once a month, at a cost of $56,000 per year. Aduhelm removes amyloid beta from the brain and the hope is removing amyloid beta will treat or slow the cognitive decline in Alzheimer’s. The FDA gave Biogen nine years to prove Aduhelm is beneficial in treating or slowing cognitive decline in Alzheimer’s, after clinical studies were inconclusive. Patients receiving Aduhelm…..
