Baseball caps can contribute to balding in men

Carolyn Merchant Blog 0 0

When we see commercials to help men prevent hair loss and the images often seem ironic. The commercials show men in baseball caps. Hair loss can be genetic but in our observation wearing sweaty dirty baseball caps contributes to and accelerates hair loss. Invariable when we see a man wearing a sweaty dirty baseball cap—they are bald or balding. Sweaty dirty baseball caps can facilitate pathogens and fungus getting into the base of the hair follicles, promoting and accelerating hair…..

Antibiotic use in animals leads to antibiotic resistance

Carolyn Merchant Blog 0 0

Unfortunately infectious causes of chronic disease have been ignored and dismissed. Treatment may be denied in the acute phase of immortal infections in the name of protecting against antibiotic resistance, and by the time a chronic disease occurs the acute disease has long been forgotten. To prevent antibiotic resistance the best way is to reduce antibiotics in animals (80% of usage). It is not too many antibiotics, it is too many of the wrong antibiotics, and lack of adequate diagnosis…..

New book supports chronic infections cause chronic diseases

Carolyn Merchant Blog 0 0

“CHRONIC: The Hidden Cost of the Autoimmune Pandemic and How to Get Healthy Again” is a new book which follows the same themes as our book–chronic disease arises from chronic infection, and the medical system should seek to diagnose the root infectious causes of chronic disease. The authors express many ideas and make many observations similar to those made in our book, about the root causes of chronic disease and the how the medical system works today. “CHRONIC” discusses chronic…..

Diagnosing chronic intracellular pathogens may aid in understanding viral variants

Carolyn Merchant Blog 0 0

The immune system has difficulty fighting intracellular pathogens; and in response to intracellular pathogens and the abnormal proteins generated by the pathogens, the immune system generates a cascade of immune defenses, i.e. the war within, which include a high level of inflammation and generation of adhesion molecules. The immune system attack may be diagnosed as a chronic disease; an autoimmune disease; or in acute disease, as the immune system generating a higher level of damaging inflammation, for unknown reasons.  …..

Chronic intracellular infection impacts acute viral infection

Carolyn Merchant Blog 0 0

Viruses can only survive and multiply inside a cell or pathogen. Viruses can invade human cells previously infected with intracellular bacteria, and can also invade and become a bacteriophage of other bacterial pathogens. Chronic intracellular infections cause chronic disease. When patients with chronic disease develop covid19 the risk for severe disease and virus variants increases. Intracellular co-infections can confuse the immune system; hide the virus; and trigger an increased inflammatory response, to fight a virus inside a bacteria inside a…..
